DONNIE E. WOLFINGTON
KANSAS CITY, Mo.- Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Mt. Moriah, Newcomber & Freeman Funeral Home, Kansas City, Mo., for Donnie Ellen (Stephens) Wolfington, 86, who died Thursday, March 1, 2018. Rev. Kathleen Danforth will officiate. Burial and a brief graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m., in Fort Scott National Cemetery No. 1, Fort Scott, Kan.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Kingswood Foundation, 10000 Wornall Rd., Kansas City, MO 64114.

Survivors include three sons, Kerry Wolfington and wife Mary, Lawrence, Kan., Stephen Wolfington, Kansas City, Mo. and Daniel Wolfington and wife Eileen, Florissant; three grandchildren, Jeffrey Wolfington and wife Amber, Leavenworth, Kan., Kathryn Harth and husband Cory, Manhattan, Kan. and Melanie Wolfington and Danny Rosales, Kansas City, Mo.; three great-grandchildren, Ruby Rosales, Nona Wolfington and Max Wolfington; three siblings, Bob Stephens, Harrisonville, Lillian Lehman, Billings and Dorothy Witek and husband Joe, Chicago, Ill. and a brother-in-law, Herbert Wolfington and wife Nadine, Frontenac, Kan., as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry P. Wolfington; a sister, Margie Caton and two brothers, Raymond Stephens and Frank Stephens.
Mrs. Wolfington was born July 30, 1931, in Liberal, to Oscar A. and R.Ellen (Fetters) Stephens. She was a graduate of Mindenmines High School. She married Harry Philip Wolfington on Aug. 4, 1948, in Girard, Kan. The couple farmed their entire married life near Mindenmines. She was a member of the Countryside Christian Church in Pittsburg, Kan.
