LIBERAL- Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, at the Christian Church of Liberal, for David Linden Worsley, 74, Liberal, who died Monday, March 5, 2018, at Via Christi Village in Pittsburg, Kan. The Rev. Bob Fenwick and Rev. Scott Gray will officiate. Burial will be in Worsley Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, at the Christian Church of Liberal.

Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home, Lamar.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Christian Church of Liberal or the Worsley Cemetery, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Worsley; sons, William Eugene Worsley and wife Deanna, Pittsburg, Kan. and David Russell Worsley and wife Karon, Lamar; four grandchildren, Jensen, Paul, Adam and Caleb; his mother, Valerie Worsley; brothers, Neil, John and Boyd Worsley; sister, Nila Halcomb; eight nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Paul Eugene Worsley and a grandson, Eli Thomas Worsley.

Mr. Worsley was born Sept. 4, 1943, in Foxtown, Kan. He was reared on his parents’ farm and graduated high school at Bronaugh. He was a member of the Missouri National Guard and was also on the Worsley Cemetery Board. He worked in insurance in Fort Scott, Kan., retiring in 2000 and was a member of the Christian Church of Liberal.

He married Peggy O’Dell on April 2, 1965, in Arcadia, Kan.
