RURAL LOCKWOOD- Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar for Robert Lee Stump, 77, rural Lockwood, who died Sunday night, March 25, 2018, surrounded by family at Good Shepherd Community Care and Rehabilitation. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Good Shepherd Community Care and Rehabilitation/Good Endings Room or Gideons International, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife of nearly 58 years, Laura Lee, of the home; their daughter, Shery Wynn and husband Paul, Lockwood; son, Randy Stump and wife Alana, Tomball, Texas; brother, Eugene Stump and wife Connie, Lockwood; brother-in-law, Larry Rookstool, Nixa; four grandchildren, Mandy Winefeldt and husband Mickeal, Lockwood, Jared Stump and fiance, Allison Abey, Yardley, Penn., Taylor Wynn, Rich Hill and Megan Mann and husband Rusty, El Dorado Springs and two great-grandchildren, Raven and Brett Winefeldt, Lockwood.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Rookstool; a nephew, Kevin Stump and a niece, Kathy Stump.

Mr. Stump was born Sept. 1, 1940, in Dade County, to Lee and Faye (Ford) Stump. On May 20, 1960, he married Laura Lee Ehrsam in Lamar and they made their home and reared their children in Dade County. In addition to farming, he drove trucks for Dyno Explosives and Leprino Trucking for several years.

He never met a stranger, making relationships with people his highest priority. Many will remember time spent with him, his wide smile and the twinkle in his eyes as he shared (and may have embellished just a bit) countless stories. He was a long-time member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and currently attended First Baptist Church of Golden City.
