LAMAR- Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Konantz Warden Funeral Home for Dorothy Jean Faubion, 93, who died early Friday morning, April 27, at her home in Lamar. Burial will be in Memory Garden Cemetery. Clifford Hazard, pastor of the Milford Christian Church, will officiate.

In lieu of flowers memorial gifts may be given to the Milford Christian Church and the Barton County Senior Center in Lamar.

Survivors include her children, Marva Jean Stahl and husband Jay, Lamar, Douglas Faubion and wife Jo, Forsyth, Judy Goldhammer and husband Jeff, Joplin, Terry “Bonzo” Faubion and wife Susie, Lamar and Sallie Willhite and husband Brent, also of Lamar; 13 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Faubion; a brother, Wayne “Buzzy” Gardner and a sister, Donna Mae Harvey.

Mrs. Faubion was born Nov. 18, 1924, to Othal and Ethel Mae (Wagaman) Gardner. She married Marvin Wilson Faubion on Aug. 16, 1942. She went to work for the Oil and Propane Company owned by Carl Schmitz in 1965 as a bookkeeper and a sales person. She worked in that capacity for 28 years until her retirement in 1993. The company changed hands and names, but Mrs. Faubion was the one constant that the customers could count on.

She enjoyed playing cards with good friends and crocheting and quilting for her family.

She was a long time member of the American Legion, the Calla Rebekah Lodge and the Milford Christian Church.
