PITTSBURG, Kan.-Services are pending with Konantz Warden Funeral Home in Lamar, Mo., for Richard James Hovey, 43, Pittsburg, who died Tuesday, July 7, 2015.

Survivors include his mother, Jessica Allred, two daughters, Richelle Molina and Sissy Hovey and eight grandchildren, all of Pittsburg, Kan.

Mr. Hovey was born Jan. 7, 1972, in St. Joseph to Jessica (Belcher) Allred. He was a machinist. He also was a musician and was known for his guitar playing.

A total of $3600 was raised at the car and jeep show held Saturday, April 13, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Lamar Christian Church Parking lot, with proceeds to benefit the new Barco Drive-In screen tower.
