NOBLE, Okla.-Services will be held at 6 p.m. Monday atDaniel Funeral Home in Lamar, Mo. for Nicholas Nic Rives, 34, Noble, a former Lamar, Mo. resident who died unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at Cox Hospital South in Springfield, Mo. He had been visiting his sister in Billings, Mo. Private burial will be held at a later date at Shiloh Cemetery.

Contributions may be made to his family, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include a son, Colby Rives, Stillwater; a daughter, Kate Hinniger, Joplin, Mo.; his mother, Tami Taylor, Noble; two sisters, Natasha Nelson and Matthew Baker, Billings, Mo. and Nikki Rives, Lamar, Mo., as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clark Rives; a brother, Tommy Rives on April 17, 2015; his maternal grandmother, Dollie Thornton and two uncles, Jack Sade and David Sade.

Mr. Rives was born Dec. 21, 1980, at Lamar, Mo., to Clark Rives and Tami (Sade). He attended school in Lamar and was of the Baptist faith. He had worked in a greenhouse until he was no longer able to work because of a heart condition. He enjoyed gardening, flowers, fishing and anything that would get him outdoors.
