LUTHER “LEON” LAMB

SHELDON- Services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Sheldon Baptist Church for Luther “Leon” Lamb, 62, Sheldon, who died Sunday morning, May 13, 2018, surrounded by family at his home in Sheldon. Jerod Lamb will officiate. Burial will be in Sheldon Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home, Lamar.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Sheldon Baptist Church.

Survivors include his father, Luther Lamb; children, Jerod L. Lamb and wife Lisha, Sheldon, Joshua L. Lamb and wife Abbey, Sheldon, Lindy S. Slates and husband Reed, Nevada, Mo. and Jeremiah Lamb, Boonvillel 10 grandchildren, Hayden, Carter, Xavier, Zavery, Deborah, Mariam, Logan, Bryce, Aiden and Uric, his brother, Russel Lamb and wife Cammy, Neosho and two nephews, Rusty and Tyler.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Lamb and two grandchildren, Hannah Lamb and Devin Ellifrits.

Mr. Lamb was born Feb. 27, 1956, in Lamar, to Luther and Shirley (Cornell) Lamb. He grew up in Lamar and was a 1974 graduate of Lamar High School. He went on to further his studies to prepare for a career in fire and safety. He served 20 plus years for the Nevada Fire Department, retiring in 1995. He was very active in the International Association of Fire Fighters and was the founder and charter member of the local 3031 chapter. He was also a lifetime member of the NRA.
