MULBERRY, Kan.- Services will be held at 6 p.m. Saturday at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar, Mo., for Jama Marie Stone, 64, Mulberry, who died Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg. Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 5 p.m.

Survivors include her husband, Danny Stone; four sons, Greg Strong and wife Anna, Lamar, Mo., Dewaine Hammack and wife Kara, Sarcoxie and twins Dakota and D.J. Stone, Mulberry; two daughters, Becky Eads, Mulberry and Sky Soard and husband Bear, Nevada, Mo.; three brothers, Gail Miller and wife Cinda, Lamar, Mo., Earl Henson and wife Marsha, Joplin, Mo. and Benny Allen and wife Susie, Indianapolis, Ind.; three sisters, Jane Griffitt and husband Bobby, Lockwood, Mo., Brenda Sewell, Joplin, Mo. and Wanda Thompson, Troy, Mo.; three grandchildren, Anthony Taylor, Jasmine Taylor and Paisley Soard; three great-grandchildren, Levi Taylor, Emily Taylor and Caydence Eads and her mother-in-law, Joyce Stone, Lamar, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Beula Miller; two brothers, B.J. Allen and Richard Allen; a son-in-law, Bill Eads and her father-in-law, Glen Stone.

Mrs. Stone was born Oct. 5, 1953, in Joplin, Mo. After graduating from Jasper (Mo.) High School she earned a certificate as a cosmetologist and had worked at My Fifth Avenue Salon in Lamar, Mo. As a younger adult, her interest in health and fitness led to a pastime of body building. When declining health prevented strenuous exercise, she remained as active as possible and enjoyed many days fishing at local lakes and ponds. A natural caregiver, she was known for her big heart and love for her family.
