LAMAR- Services were held at 3 p.m. Saturday at Konantz Warden Chapel for Donald Ray Peterson Jr., 62, Lamar, who died Wednesday, June 20, 2018. Pastor Jerrod Lamb officiated.

Music was “Come As You Are” and “I Will Rise”, with Josh Lamb, soloist.

Arrangements were under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Leana Peterson and her children, Chelsea 15, Tyler 14 and Brandon 13; four daughters, Charity Spaich and husband Christopher and their children, Gracin, 7 and Rory 3, Dana Peterson, April Graham and husband John and their children, Amelia, 2 and Evie, 2 weeks and Jubilee Peterson; two sons, Caleb Peterson and wife Danielle and their daughter, Ellie, 2 and Michael Peterson and wife Ashley and an aunt, Dorothy Dearing.

He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Noah; an uncle, Jr. Dearing and his Aunt Betty.

Mr. Peterson was born March 25, 1956, in Lamar, to Donald and Bonnie (Brauburger) Peterson. He was a 1974 graduate of Lamar High School. His chosen career was nursing. He graduated from Pittsburg State College in Pittsburg, Kan., with a nursing degree and worked at Heartland Behavior Health Services, a children’s behavioral health hospital located in Nevada, Mo. He had a special attachment to everyone he came in contact. He especially enjoyed riding his Harley, never knew a stranger and was known for his infectious laugh.
