Lodge of Hope grand opening a rousing success

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger A grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony by the Barton County Chamber of Commerce were held Saturday afternoon, Aug. 18, to recognized Peterson Outdoors Ministries Lodge of Hope. This beautiful facility is equipped to enable veterans and their families to have a time they can spend in order to help with their healing process. A full day began early with the many volunteers helping to set up the grounds. The ceremonies began at 2 p.m. and lasted through the evening as over 600 participated in the event that could not have been possible without the help of the many volunteers involved.
