CROSS TIMBERS- Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw, for Allen R. Davis, 68, Cross Timbers, who died Thursday, Aug. 23, 2018, in Bolivar.

Graveside services and military rites will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Lincoln Cemetery in Lincoln.

Arrangements are under the direction of Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Legion Post No. 623 in Cross Timbers.

Survivors include two daughters, Terri Oyler and husband Joe, Boise, Idaho and Crystal Fuller and husband Mike, Dunedin, Fla.; two granddaughters, Victoria, Moscow, Idaho and Natalie, Boise, Idaho; a sister, Connie Crockett and husband Danny and a brother, Jack, all of Lamar.

Mr. Davis was born Dec. 9, 1949 in Springfield, to Floyd and Helen Davis. He grew up in Lamar with his parents and siblings, Connie and Jack. He was a 1968 graduate of Lamar High School.

After finishing technical school in Kansas City, Mo., where he met his wife, Ethel Elizabeth Mantonya, he joined the Air Force in 1971 and served until 1978. While in the Air Force he welcomed two daughters, Terri and Crystal.

Following the Air Force, he had a successful career as an instrument technician, working at Kansas City Power & Light – Montrose Station and Sierra Pacific Power Company in Valmy, Nevada.

He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed tying his own flies. He also loved to play poker and was the treasurer of the American Legion in Cross Timbers for many years.
