JOHN MARTIN

LAMAR- Private family services are planned for John Thomas Martin, 69, Lamar, who died Friday, Sept. 7, 2018, after an illness.

Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home.

Survivors include his wife, Claire Martin; a son, Michael Allen Martin and wife Stephanie, Liberty; a daughter, Stacy Marie Martin, Cabool; two stepsons, David Edward Lamar Cox and wife Alicia, Clarksville, Tenn. and Jerry F. Edgar, Ashdown, Ark.; a stepdaughter, Sher-rE Bird, Mexico, Mo.; a sister, Stephanie Clawson, Lamar and a granddaughter, Ava Marie Martin.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Anna Lisa Boehm.

Mr. Martin was born May 15, 1949, in Kansas City. He graduated Liberty High School in 1967 and had earned an associate’s degree from Crowder College. He enjoyed listening to his police scanner and messing around on his computer. He had worked at O’Sullivan Industries.
