Life Chain is held despite weather

Lamar Democrat/Richard Cooper Fifty-one members of Barton County Right to Life assembled along three blocks of U.S. 160 in Lamar on a rainy Sunday afternoon to bring their pro-life message to passing motorists. Some signs were in Spanish. Leader Dave Spiering said, “We are the patriots who support the cause regardless of rain.” The first rally in 1993 attracted 53 participants.
