Christiana Herrera, daughter of Dolly Madrigal, is the seventh grade Lamar Middle School Student of the Week. In her spare time Christiana spends time with family and friends or plays basketball, which is probably her favorite sport. Christiana has played basketball for three years. She has four pets, Katy is her mom’s dog, Daisy is her sister’s dog, Grizz is the family’s dog and Luna is her cat. Her favorite subject in school is Language Arts. Christiana enjoys writing and playing games, so that is why language arts and gym are her favorite.

Lamar Democrat/Melody Metzger A check in the amount of $12,500 from the Arvest Foundation was presented to the Barton County Sheriff’s Department to be used towards the purchase of an aerial drone to be used by local municipal departments, as well as neighboring county sheriff’s offices.
