LIBERAL- A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Friskel Funeral Home in Frontenac for Wilma Ellen Trout, 88, Liberal, a former Girard, Kan. resident, who died Sunday, Oct. 28, at her home in Liberal.

Survivors include a son, Dennis Trout and wife Brenda, Mindenmines; seven daughters, Belinda Sue Ghumm and husband Ralph, Oronogo, Tina Cheney and husband Frank, Carl Junction, Kim Spurling and husband Darrell, Liberal, Rebecca Wheeler and husband William, Lamar, Veronica Winklepleck and husband Eric, Pittsburg, Kan., Amber Trout, Lamar and Jessica Townsend and husband Scott, Pittsburg, Kan.; a sister, Joann DeGarmo, Girard, Kan.; 18 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, George Steve Trout; three sisters, Pearl Steffens, Maxine Kichler and Viola Boggs; three grandchildren, Jody Ghumm, Phillip Trout, Ashley Wheeler and a great-grandchild, Autumn Cheney.

Mrs. Trout was born Dec. 26, in Pawnee Station, Kan., to James and Helen (Ausemus) Russell.

She married George A. Trout on Sept. 25, 1948, in Lucedale, Miss. He preceded her in death.

She worked as a para professional at Lamar School District.
