Writing on “Why I Honor the American Flag.” Left to right, Senior Vice-Commander Merdith Chapman; first place Andrew Shelton, son of Stephen and Teresa Shelton (Andrew advanced to district and finished second), awarded $60; second place Ethan Ball, son of Brian and Kimberly Ball, awarded $50; third place Ashlynn Ball, daughter of Brad and Anna Ball, awarded $40; Quartermaster Tom Reed.
