She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; their infant daughter, Barbara; a brother, Steve Buckus and sisters, Victoria, Josephine, Helen and Eleanor.

Mrs. Doyle was born Sept. 25, 1923, at Springfield, Ill., to Joe and Mildred (Palaska) Buckus. After graduating from high school in Springfield she worked in a factory to support the war effort. She married Kenneth Doyle on April 20, 1944, while he was on a short leave from the army. While waiting for him to complete his overseas tour of duty, she stayed with her sister in California, working in the fruit orchards and avocado groves. When he returned they made their home in Missouri, where she was a homemaker and an industrious volunteer for the Good Samaritan Shop in Lamar for more than 40 years.

Mrs. Doyle had a soft spot for animals, enjoying watching all the birds frequenting the many feeders in her yard and relished the companionship of her dog, Zippy. She was a faithful member of Lamar Church of Christ. She was blessed to be adopted by the compassionate and loving caregivers at Truman Healthcare Center, who deeply enriched the last two years of her life.
