CLARENCE SCHORZMAN

LAMAR-Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Daniel Funeral Home for Clarence Tobias Schorzman, 93, Lamar, who died early Saturday morning, Aug. 1, 2015, at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin. Burial, with full military honors, will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lamar First Christian Church or Barton County Senior Center, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Dorlyne; a son, Roger Schorzman, Hollister; two daughters, Carol Buffington and Brenda Cox and husband Justen, both of Lamar; four grandchildren, Ryan Godfrey, Jeffrey Godfrey, Vanessa Manes and Garrett Cox and four great-grandchildren, Olivia, Tobias, Eden and Samantha.
Mr. Schorzman was born Sept. 13, 1921, at St. Francis, Kan., to Dominick and Lydia (Orth) Schorzman. He served his country in the United States Army from 1942 to 1945. He had worked as an electric lineman for the Rural Water Maintenance. He was a member of Lamar First Christian Church, where he was baptized in 1950 and served many years as a deacon and an elder. He was a faithful member of Lamar VFW Post No. 3691.
He married Dorlyne Viola Shaul on Oct. 26, 1947, in St. Francis, Kan.
