LAMAR- A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Howell Cemetery near Milford for Wanda L. Yokley, 91, Lamar, who died Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019, at the Medicalodges in Neosho.

Arrangements are under the direction of Konantz Warden Funeral Home.

Survivors include three sons, Alvin Yokley and wife Vicki, Nevada, Mo., Dan Yokley and wife Bev, Neosho and Stephen Yokley, Joplin; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and a sister, Wilma Pritchard, Torington, Wyo.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Gilmartin and a sister, Wanita Roberts.

Mrs. Yokley was born Aug. 26, 1927, near Iantha, to Joseph and Faye (Metcalf) Gilmartin. She was one of four children. After high school she attended Pittsburg State University and received her teaching certificate. She taught at a rural school for several years. She later went to work for the Nelly-Don garment factory, where she spent 17 years. She had also worked at Big Smith for a short time. She then went to Thorco, where she worked until her retirement.

She was a long time member of the Bethany Baptist Church and more recently attended Cornerstone Baptist Church.

She was married to Fred Yokley, who died October 9, 1983.
