Fire engulfs structure

Photo courtesy of Barton County Sheriff’s Office Barton County dispatch received a 911 call on Wednesday, Feb. 27, regarding a structure fire on Lincoln Street in Golden City. The Golden City Fire Department and the Barton County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene. During the investigation of the fire it was determined that the fire had been intentionally set. One man was located at a nearby address and taken into custody. He was transported to the sheriff's office and placed on a 24-hour hold for investigation. The investigation of the fire is being conducted by the sheriff's office.
