CatTracks travel out of state to compete in swim championships

Twelve members of the CatTracks swim team travelled to Edwardsville, Ill., to compete at Heartland AREA Swim Championships from March 15-17. CatTracks finished ninth overall out of 25 teams and sixth in the “Small Team” Division. Lamar swimmers Meghan Watson, Kaitlyn Davis, Alix Davis and Emma Tennal played a large role in leading CatTracks to a fourth place overall finish in the Girls Division. The team only had two age groups represented in relays, 13-14 Girls and 15-21 Girls, but they all medaled, contributing valuable points for CatTracks. Sophomores Watson and Davis continued their success at Regional Championships by qualifying for Finals in all of their individual events at AREA Championships.
