LAMAR-A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Lamar United Methodist Church for Dennis Joe Dighero, 63, Lamar, who died Friday, Aug. 7, 2015, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident that occurred north of Lusk, Wyo. Full military honors will be conducted. Burial will be at Bluff Cemetery, at a later date.
The family will receive friends from 12 noon until service time.
Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Bluff Cemetery or Lamar United Methodist Church, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include his father, George Dighero, Lamar; two brothers, Steve Dighero, Fayetteville, Ark. and George Dighero and wife Tammy, Lamar; three nephews, Tyler Dighero, Ozark, Justin Dighero and wife Chelsea, Lamar and Casey Dighero, Fayetteville, Ark.; a niece, Holly Shea Mendez and husband Fernando, Fayetteville, Ark.; a great-nephew, Andrew Mendez and great-nieces, Lily and Georgi Dighero, all of Fayetteville, Ark.; his Dockery family and a host of close friends.
Mr. Dighero was born Feb. 14, 1952, in Pittsburg, Kan., to George and Dee (Burke) Dighero. He graduated from Lamar High School in 1970 and earned a bachelor's degree from Pittsburg State University. He had owned and operated a U.S. Cellular Telephone Company in Joplin, as well as being a pro angler for several years. He then built a business in accounting, purchasing and operating H&R Block Tax Firms in Lamar and Pittsburg, Parsons and Girard, Kan.
Always active in his community, he was a member of Lamar Metro Club, Barton County Elks Lodge and Lamar Masonic Lodge. He was a formidable snooker player, enjoying the fellowship of Thursday night card games, as well as Friday night dinner rides and long bike trips with his partner of more than 20 years, Deana Dockery. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish and spend time on the farm.
