DONNA LAVONNE LETTON

LAMAR- Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday at Nashville Christian Church for Donna Lavonne Letton, 85, Pittsburg, Kan., formerly of Lamar, who died Wednesday, May 15, 2019, at Via Christi Hospital. Burial followed in Nashville Cemetery.

Arrangements were under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to Nashville Christian Church, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include three sons, Robert Letton, Lamar, Don Letton, Denver, Colo. and Brian Letton and wife Bonnie Rae, Pecatonica, Ill.; one brother, Berne Jones and wife Helen, Lamar; two sisters, Judy Tolman and husband Bob, Lamar and Norma VanDorn, Ashbury; five grandchildren, Grace Randolph and husband Patrick, Tiffany Letton, Jayson Letton, Bret Letton and Wai-Yee Letton.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Letton, in 2010.

Mrs. Letton was born March 27, 1934, in Quinter, Kan., to Frank H. and Minnie E. (Aughenbaugh) Jones. She was a 1951 graduate of Mindenmines High School and on March 1, 1955, she married Harvey Russell Letton in Nashville.

She was a farm wife and loved that lifestyle, working alongside her husband in every aspect of farming. She was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary, Red Hat Society, was a Sunday school teacher and Vacation Bible School teacher. She also had a cake decorating business, where she made hundreds of cakes and enjoyed every minute of it.
