Kyler Cox accepted the Shaping Rural Missouri Grant of $500 awarded to the Barton County 4-H Teen Leaders. The grant funds will be used to construct an outdoor classroom at Lamar East Primary School. FCS Financial staff Bryanna Callahan, Lacey Compton and Cindy Medley presented the grant. Compton stated that community development in rural Missouri is very important to FCS Financial, adding “our member-owners and staff live in rural communities across Missouri. These grants not only strengthen our rural communities, but allow our youth to work as a team to accomplish a worthy goal. In the eight years of its existence more than $120,000 has been awarded to Missouri 4-H clubs and FFA chapters. Grants are awarded to organizations with plans to complete a community improvement project by the end of the year. Thanks are extended to FCS Financial for this generous donation to the Lamar East Primary Outdoor Classroom.
