DOROTHY PAULINE HOLLIDAY

JASPER- Services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 7, at Weng Funeral Chapel for Dorothy Pauline Holliday, 87, Jasper, who died Monday, June 3, 2019, at Carthage. Visitation was held prior to the service. Burial was in Paradise Cemetery.

Survivors include a daughter, Diana Davis and husband Jack, Joplin; two sons, Don Holliday and wife Michele, Carthage and Bruce Holliday and wife Kelly, Jasper; one sister, Ruth Potter and husband Ronald, Carthage; one brother, Paul Swearingen and wife Barbara, Marion, Iowa; grandchildren John Newman, Jill Renfro, Krystal Damon, Austin Rosenthal, Andrew Rosenthal, Katie Bronson, Ben Holliday and Kristy Holliday and great-grandchildren, Jaren Renfro, Jace Renfro, Holliday Newman, Durham Mickey, Isabella Damon, Israel Damon, Gabriel Damon, Kaylin Holliday and Wyatt Bronson.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob Holliday, on Aug. 23, 2017.

Mrs. Holliday was born June 18, 1931, in Nampa, Idaho to Paul and Doris (Frerer) Swearingen. She was a homemaker and a member of the Countryside Church, west of Jasper.

She married Arthur “Doc” Holliday Jr. on Dec. 24, 1950, at Mt. Moriah Methodist Church in Carthage. He died Dec. 20, 1991.
