GOLDEN CITY- Visitation will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday at Daniel Funeral Home in Lamar for Jimmie Robert “Jay” Hunt, 51, Golden City, who died Sunday, June 16, 2019, in his home, surrounded by his wife and daughters.
Private family burial will be in Hamby Cemetery, Olympia.

Survivors include his wife, Lisa, who he married on Sept. 7, 2016, in a small private ceremony; three daughters, Nicky Rinkenbaugh and husband Ross, Carrollton, Alisha Sharp and husband Colton, Jerico Springs and Jessie and significant other, Austin Jones, Bolivar; stepchildren, Elise Rachel and Ryan Sheets; one sister, Sherri Reid and husband David Reid, Miller; a brother, Eric Hunt, Jerico Springs; his father and stepmother, Jimmie and Sharon Hunt, Golden City and eight grandbabies who adored and were adored by Papa Jay.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Brent Hunt and his mother, Maxine Hunt.
Mr. Hunt was born May 4, 1968, in El Dorado Springs, to Jimmie Albert and Wilma Maxine Hunt. He was a lifelong resident of the Jerico Springs area. He retired from IWX Trucking Company after 18 years and approximately two million safety miles.
He was a lover of many hobbies, but spending time with family was what he enjoyed most. Hobbies he enjoyed were hunting with his little shadow Alisha, tinkering on cars with Nicky by his side and wreaking havoc with his partner in crime, Jessie. He always made time for dirty joke telling, fishing and guitar picking with close family and friends.
