ELLEN NADINE MEVIUS

JASPER- Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Weng Funeral Chapel for Ellen Nadine Mevius, 94, Jasper, who died Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at Lockwood. Burial will follow in Waters Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, at the funeral chapel.

Survivors include one daughter, Elizabeth Hundley, Bentonville, Ark.; one son, Gary Mevius, Jasper; one sister, Velma Berryhill, Jasper; one brother, Robert Smith, Hemit, Calif.; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; a daughter, Joyce Mevius; a brother, Richard Smith and a sister, Beulah Etcheson.

Mrs. Mevius was born Dec. 12, 1924, in Jasper, to Francis Edgar and Beulah May (Wood) Smith. She was a homemaker and a member of the Nashville Christian Church.

She married Robert Mevius on June 1, 1946, at Greenfield. He died Jan. 31, 2013.
