LAMAR- Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Daniel Funeral Home for Patricia Marie Vaughan, 90, Lamar, who died Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at Truman Healthcare Center. Burial will follow at Lake Cemetery.

The family will receive friends prior to the service time, beginning at 1 p.m.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to Lamar United Methodist Church or Barton County Memorial Hospital, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include a son, Mike and wife Fran Vaughan, Lamar; a granddaughter, Courtney and husband Donnie Dec, Kansas City, Mo.; a granddaughter-in-law, April Vaughan, Lamar and three great-grandchildren, Madalyn Dec, Avery Dec and Chloe Vaughan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Vaughan and a grandson, Brandon Vaughan.

Mrs. Vaughan was born April 9, 1929, in Lamar, to Ralph Cecil “RC” and Lottie Mildred (Palmer) Kazee. She was a 1947 graduate of Lamar High School.

She married Charles “Chuck” E. Vaughan on May 25, 1947, at the Lamar United Methodist Church. They were the first couple to get married in what was then the “new sanctuary”.

She worked alongside of her husband as an owner/operator of Kelly’s Package Store in Dallas, Texas, from 1972 until 1975, when they returned to Lamar where they owned and operated Three Brother’s Supply until 1993. She belonged to several civic and social organizations.
