July 25 zoning meeting to go live on facebook

A meeting of the Lamar Planning & Zoning Commission will be held this evening (July 25), 5:15 p.m., at the Thiebaud Auditorium meeting rooms, in order to determine the possibility of the old Summer Fresh building becoming a medical marijuana cultivation facility. A hearing will be held for a zone change from a C-1 (General Commercial District) zone to a M-1 (Business Park District).

All interested parties and citizens will have an opportunity to be heard.

At that time the board will make a recommendation for council to approve or disapprove the request. The council will then consider the recommendation and vote on the issue at a later meeting.
