PAUL EUGENE “GENE” LOEWE

LAMAR- Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Daniel Funeral Home for Paul Eugene “Gene” Loewe, 89, Lamar, who died Thursday, July 25, 2019, at Truman Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday evening, at the funeral home.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to the T.J. Onstott/Troy Boy Benefit, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Richardson and husband Terry and Lisa Riley and husband Tim, all of Lamar; three sisters, Velma Crockett, Nadine Mayfield and Wilma Braker, all of Lamar and four grandchildren, Melanie Martin and husband Jay, Chelsea Riley, Trevon Riley and Kurt Richardson.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nora Lee, in 2014 and three sisters, Irene Westbay, Edna Mae Mayfield and Betty Gilmartin.

Mr. Loewe was born April 9, 1930, in Milford, to Paul Julius and Ethel (Smith) Loewe. He served in the U.S. Army from 1952 to 1960. He married Nora Lee Pistole on June 17, 1961, in Golden City and together they reared two daughters.

Mr. Loewe worked as a cattle farmer for many years and had retired from Thorco Industries after working there for over 30 years. He was a member of the Lamar Saddle Club and was a Christian.
