REBA LUCILLE FANNING

LAMAR- Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Daniel Funeral Home for Reba Lucille Fanning, 87, Lamar, who died Tuesday, July 30, 2019, at Truman Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Burial will follow in Howell Cemetery in Milford.
Contributions were suggested and made payable to Alzheimer’s Association, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include three sons, James Fanning and wife Cheryl, Lake of the Ozarks, Gary Fanning and wife Angie, Lamar and Larry Fanning and wife Donna, Lamar; one daughter, Kathy Simons and husband Neil, Lamar; a brother, Earl Morey and wife Susan, Hawthorne, Fla.; two sisters, Pauline Blankenship, Toledo, Ohio and Gloria McCulley, Lamar; a sister-in-law, Jo Morey, Lamar; 10 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Fanning; a brother, Loren Morey and two sisters, Maxine Obert and Alice Rall.
Mrs. Fanning was born Dec. 1, 1931, in Lamar, to George and Edna (Millard) Morey. She graduated from Lamar High School and on Nov. 20, 1948, she married James Ola Fanning in Bentonville, Ark. She was a homemaker and was well known for her pie crusts and noodles that she made for other people and was an all-around great baker. She was a member of First Christian Church.
