The 10 & Under Girls 100 yard medley relay, consisting of Sadie Bull, Maiah Williams, Lauryn Davis and Kierselyn Keatts, took fifth place at the Nevada Invitational on July 6.

Lamar High School senior Halle Miller signed a two year letter to play basketball at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls, Iowa. Upon finishing school there, she then plans to finish up her degree in elementary education at Pittsburg State University. She would like to teach close to home. Halle is the daughter of Marshall and Heather Miller.

Lamar High School senior Kolin Overstreet received his Congressional Nomination from Congresswoman Vicky Hartzler. He then accepted an appointment to the United States Military Academy at West Point, where he will run Division 1 Cross Country and Track and Field. Kolin plans to get his degree in engineering and after graduation will serve in the United States Army as a commissioned officer. Kolin is the son of Melissa and Jamie Overstreet.
