CORRINE FAY MARTI

LAMAR- Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Apostolic Christian Church for Corrine Fay Marti, 92, Lamar, who died Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at Good Shepherd Community Care in Lockwood. Burial will follow in the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be held prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m.

Arrangements are under the direction of Daniel Funeral Home.

Contributions are suggested and made payable to Alzheimer’s Association, in care of the funeral home.

Survivors include three sons, Larry Marti and wife Judy, Lamar, Kent “Butch” Marti and wife Deidra, Jasper and Kevin Marti and wife Kathy, Lamar; four daughters, Karel Anliker and husband Wendell, Morton, Ill., Terri Duncan and husband Jim, Lamar, Mary Probert and husband Jim, Chouteau, Okla. and Schelli Marti, Oronogo; 17 grandchildren, Stacia Forst and husband Tommy, Tristan Marti and wife Kyla, Tracie Enders and husband Rob, Janell Rinkenberger and husband Bart, Michael Anliker and wife Mindy, Jason Duncan, JoAnn Wentland and husband Jon, Andy Marti and wife Misti, Kaleb Marti and wife Katelyn, Kellen Probert, Kassidy Probert and wife Jenni, Trevor Probert, Adam Abbiatti and wife Jamie, Nicole Braker and husband Darin, Christopher Marti and wife Katie, Elizabeth Marti and Alex Marti and 28 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years; a son, Fred Marti; a granddaughter, Kaelee Jo Marti and two sisters, her twin Arlene Marti and Catherine Davis.

Mrs. Marti was born March 15, 1927, in Lamar, to Cyrus Oscar and Marie Georgia (Peeler) Stewart. She graduated from Golden City High School and attended Pittsburg Teachers College. She married Dale Kenneth Marti on Aug. 19, 1948 and together they reared eight children.

She was a school teacher, school bus driver, factory worker, talented baker and loving wife and mother.
